OHSMS Auditing

UNSW performs regular audits of its OHS management system for more information refer to the auditing procedure.

Self Audit Tool

To access the Self Audit Tool log into myUNSW.

1. Click on "My Staff Profile";

2. Click on the H2O logo to enter into the OHS&E Reporting System;

3. Under "Report Type of Issue" drop down box, select Self Audit Tool.

WorkCover Audits

UNSW is a licenced workers compensation self-insurer. WorkCover NSW regularly audits the University's OHS Management System (OHSMS) as part of the licence renewal process.

The University passed it's last WorkCover NSW and is currently on a 3 year cycle.This audit took place in during May 2010.WorkCover selected the School of Medicine and the audit verfication sites are the School of Medical Sciences and the St.George Clinical school. T

The successful result of the audit is a reflection of the hard work over several months by key people within the areas audited and by the OHS team within Human Resources.

WorkCover indicated that continued implementation of the OHSMS across the University would assist UNSW to be better prepared for future audits and help make UNSW a safer place to work.

School and Unit managers should contact their Faculty/Division OHS Coordinator for advice and assistance with OHSMS implementation.
